TECHNICAL SUPPORT AGENT
Elevator Controls Corporation has openings in our Technical Support Department. The Technical Support Agent offers phone support to our customers, answering inbound technical and customer service calls relating to our control panels. Calls may deal with instructions on installation or troubleshooting on a variety of issues, all requiring electronic knowledge in order to determine the most effective plan of correction. Elevator Controls Corporation prides itself on the excellent personal technical support that we offer to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively articulate necessary technical information to customers and coworkers in a simple and concise manner over the telephone or via email
  • Document customer issues and steps taken to resolve the issue
  • Maintain and enhance excellent customer relations
  • Must be a self-starter, organized and work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Occasional travel to customer sites may be required after training is complete
  • Any and all additional tasks associated with Technical Support and support issues resolution as required
Qualifications:
  • Degree or certificate in Electronic Engineering or related field
  • Experience in electro-mechanical/electric system, troubleshooting in a manufacturing or production environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Solid communication skills, verbal and written
  • Elevator Industry experience is beneficial but not required
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required

TEST TECHNICIAN
Elevator Controls Corporation has openings for Test Technicians on our production floor. Elevator Controls Corporation is dedicated to manufacturing complex elevator control systems that combine engineering expertise, design innovation, cutting edge technology and over 30 years of experience. Our Technicians test and troubleshoot our controllers using their knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment and strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility of the position is to perform system and board-level testing and troubleshooting of elevator control systems comprised of digital and analog circuits, and microprocessor-controlled logic
  • Validate that the control system is in compliance with general functional specifications and with contract-specific requirements
  • Work in conjunction with the Contract Order Engineering Team to modify control systems as required to meet functional requirements
  • Diagnose malfunctions of circuitry, components or parts and determine methods or actions necessary to repair controller
  • Log failure data and repair results and prepare reports as required
Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications are considered essential and required as a minimum.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Sound analytical and troubleshooting skills with electronic principles
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, test parameters
  • Use multi-meters, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, logic probes and other test equipment
  • Manual dexterity and good hand eye coordination
  • Excellent communication skills and cooperative interpersonal style
Additional Qualifications: These additional qualifications are highly desirable, but not required.
  • Elevator industry experience including knowledge of elevator systems and elevator control equipment
  • Knowledge of embedded control systems and software
  • Knowledge of binary/hexadecimal numbers
  • Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD

Test Technicians work in a manufacturing environment and may shift to different workstations during the assembly process.
